CHELTENHAM - DAY THREE

Not so good yesterday, a few short priced winners amongst the shortlist meant a tiny loss. Still ahead of the game though as we move onto Day 3.

JLT Chase:

1.  Real Steel

2.  Lostintranslation

3. Defi Du Seuil

Selection won’t be the best jumper in this field but is improving with each run and has won his last two starts comfortably. Tends to finish his races off strongly so if still there at the last watch out for him finishing off best.

Pertemps Final:

1. A Toi Phil

2. Not Many Left

3.  Samburu Shujaa

Smart chaser who has been below form over fences this season and was switched to hurdles on his last outing. That was a lot better, finishing fourth, staying on well. If able to build on that could go close.

Ryanair:

1. Terrefort

2.  Monalee

3. Frodon

Terrefort had been a consistent performer in France prior to his move to Nicky Henderson. A good novice last year but has been beaten in all his races this year over three miles. Drop in trip could do the trick and run well at a big price.

Stayers Hurdle:

1. Supasundae

2. Paisley Park

3. Bapaume

Can’t fault his consistency, beit at two miles or three. Ran a solid race in this last year and will be hard to keep him out of the frame.

Brown Plate:

1.  Spiritofthegames

2. Kalondra

3.  Janika

Has made a decent start to chase career winning on debut at Chepstow. Latest third over this course and distance shows he is still in form and is an interesting runner.

Mares Hurdle:

1.  Buildmeupbuttercup

2. Posh Trish

3. My Sister Sarah

Classy bumper winner and made a winning debut over hurdles. Slightly disappointing last time despite being well supported, better expected back against her own sex at a big price.

Kim Muir:

1.  It’s All Guesswork

2. Any Second Now

3.  Treacle Tart

Had a spin back over hurdles last time out after falling in the Munster National. That last run was a decent one and could go close for top yard returning to fences.
