Hey Roy I think the referee saw my predictions and was having none of it but as you said 2 perfectly legit goals disallowed , Football can be a cruel game at times

Daily Table for Day 2

Pedro - 8pts biggrin
Roy - 8pts biggrin
Josh - 4pts
Peter - 4pts
Annie - 3pts
Kenny - 1pt

Pedro and Roy with the same selections through all the matches come up trumps and take the daily honours with a highly respectable score of 8 , Myself and Peter bring up the next group both on 4pts , Annie picks up 3pts on a day full of goals and Kenny brings up the rear on his first day as part of the contest.

Overall Table

Pedro - 11pts biggrin
Roy - 9pts
Peter - 7pts
Josh - 5pts
Annie - 4pts
Kenny - 1pt

After today's highly entertaining matches , Pedro strides in to a 2L lead with Roy deciding to pick up the place and moves up to 2nd with Peter applying the brakes and moving down to third , Josh still cantering along happy with his position at this stage in the contest he sits in 4th , Annie keeping a close eye on the field and she sits 1L behind Josh and Kenny is slow away out of the gates but he has plenty of time to catch up , As they go in to day 3 of the World Cup all these pilots seem to be sitting comfortably right now.

Cheers Josh

Matches for Day 3 of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Competition.

Columbia vs Greece - 5pm

Notes : Columbia will be without their very own hit man with Radamel Falcao missing out the World Cup due to an injury but they still have a decent goalscoring presence in Porto front man Jackson Martinez , Greece the European Champions from a few years back come in to this game with near enough a full strength squad. But the bookies suggest Greece will have to be at the very best to take anything from this game with Columbia priced as heavy favourites.

Uruguay vs Costa Rica - 8pm

Notes : Uruguay and Costa Rica kick off Group D here and if Uruguay have Luis Suarez available for selection that would surely make this challenge slightly easier for the South American team , Costa Rica come in to this game as the under-dogs of the group but I'm sure they will be looking to go out there and do everything they can to make sure they are not taken lightly , Bookies make Uruguay heavy odds-on favourites for this Group D opener.

England vs Italy - 11pm

Notes : England and Italy will both be looking to come out of this game with one outcome which will be the 3pts and the best possible start to this group , It would be a major statement for either of the teams to take the 3pts here and Hopefully England can sneak the victory in which I'm sure will be a closely played game. Bookies have everything very evenly matched here which shows how close the match is set to be.

Japan vs Ivory Coast - 2am

Notes - Going to struggle to see this one but will try my best and hope for an entertaining game of football , Ivory Coast's manager Sabri Lamouchi expects team rock Yaya Toure to be available for selection which will be a big boost for them however Japan merit a lot of respect in this Group C encounter with the likes of Shinki Kagawa and Keiseke Honda providing an attacking threat it is set up to be an exciting match

----

Best of Luck All.

Cheers Josh!
