Not sure what to make of this one, Brazil with a lot to prove and scared to lose against a Dutch side whose manager sees the game as meaningless.

Just seen your tennis comment, Josh.

Yes, Wozniacki was favourite but I traded her in for a strong left handed German. Camila Giorgi is worth a quick check too....

 Evening Peter , Tennis is not really my port of call , Would only really take an interest if it's Wimbledon or Andy Murray playing in a Grand-Slam Final

Some really good efforts today as Holland take 3rd place and leave Brazil who have really fell apart in a respectable 4th

Peter and Annie score 3pts due to Van Der Man being first goalscorer and also having the correct match outcome , Well Done , Pedro takes a huge step in the winning direction for bragging rights in the Father and Son battle scoring 2pts with thanks to once again Van Der Man , Roy , Josh and Ken all hit no scorers today.

Roy is home and hosed and can't be caught however Pedro is making the best of his way home as he strikes the whip and gets a 2pt lead out of it over Josh , Utkan could still well snatch Josh's claim for 3rd on a last day meltdown , Not much left to play for however it's been great fun alongside some fantastic football.

After such an enthralling World Cup - Germany come strolling out as deserved winners of this prestigious competition.

Only 1pt managed between all of us today as this fantastic competition draws to a close , Myself picking up the point but it was not enough to win the father vs son bragging rights.


FINAL TABLE

Roy - 83pts

Josh - 70pts

Peter - 63pts  
Annie - 55pts  
Ken - 32pts    


Roy is a well deserved winner as our the Germans , Roy has been at times simply sensational with his selecting , Pedro was up there for a long way and also recorded some fantastic results and is a well deserved runner-up , Josh only 1pt behind and scores a decent 70pts in a respectable 3rd , Utkan finishes 4th with a nice score of 66pts considering he started a little bit later he still managed a great end score , Peter finishes in 5th and showed us glimpses of his footballing predicting knowledge , Annie is 6th our filly went for the longshots thoughout the competition but still comes home with a nice score of 55pts , and Ken scores 32pts and finishes last however it is a good score considering his other commitments and he has missed quite a few days.

I would just like to thank each and every one for making this competition very worthwhile , I had great fun scoring it (Even though there was some errors at times) - But all joking aside it's great to have such a legendary bunch of fellows who make TheRacingOracle what it is and what it's all about , Thank you.

Great  comp Josh..biggrin many thanks for your hard work  -clap.gif  I hope you and your mates enjoyed many a good match shouting at the screen wtf.gif biggrinnofuriousbiggrin

I knew nothing about the WC until you made me join the comp  evileye but  in doing so , to not seem too much of a numpty, did a fair bit of swatting up, and so I found myself unexpectedly watching

and even more surprisingly enjoying a fair few of the games.biggrin. I guess my finest hour was predicting the exit of both Spain and Italy.- altho I knew I was only playing for minor honourshmm
