just visited the befair forum on this one and just as i expected...please remember this comp is based on betfair rules prices (THANK FOOK FOR THAT I HEAR YOU SAY)
i'm sure this has been covered many times on here before but whats with the new rules on BF dead heats', it used to be half your stake . tonight i had a £5 win on extra noble @ 2.5 a clear winner would have produced a profit of £ 7.50. Normally you would get paid half stake in my case £2.50 @ 2.5 giving a profit of £3.75, instead i got a return of £1.10 !!!! less than 30% of the old payout, im assuming that the layer also gets a bum deal and betfair keep the other 70% to themselves..... is this right ??????

this is taken from the current betfair rules and regs
Dead heats
Unless stated otherwise in the Specific Sports Rules the Dead Heat Rule applies to bets on a market where there are more winners than expected.
Dead heat is a term that describes when two or more selections in an event tie. If a “dead-heat” between two selections is declared on any event, half the stake is applied to the selection at full odds and the other half is lost. If more than two “dead-heats” are declared, the stake is proportioned accordingly.

am fairly certain the bookies do this but not betfair
see the rules regarding dead heat
if i am wrong then sorry
prove me wrong
thanx
pedro
Pedro-
read my statement again---i did not query Betfair rules on Dead Heats---i queried points rules on our own comp.
take this example--2nd at bfsp 10.00---points 5.00
3rd at bfsp 10.00--points--3.33
now dead heat for second place
your rules
bfsp 10.00==5.00 points--half for dead heat=2.50
if the horse lost the photo finish and came 3rd==points 3.33
that cannot be right--more points for finishing third than second
that is all i am saying !
Roy
added 7.47 am---prove me wrong refers to Betfair rules---i cannot prove you wrong on your statements about Betfair rules--sorry for that part of this post

fair enough roy but whats the big deal...its only a comp for a bit of fun with some punters that enjoy the sport...no need to make a big issue...am sorry as i could have been kinder with my words but was in a poor mood at the time...no need for you to run away over something so trivial
pedro

Come on Roy - come back and pick some proper winners. Anyway, when I buy my first racehorse I' might call it 'Comeback Roy' instead of 'Deadbeat Peat' 😄
4.35 Wolverhampton - Yard Of Ale
7.40 Wolverhampton - Spirit Of Rosanna
you said i was argumentative---so quote "no more arguments from me--bye"---that is not running away----that is me leaving to avoid arguing--making a big issue ?? out of an obvious problem with the scoring ???
if somebody points out that you missed one of there point scorers is that making a big issue ?
if I am wrong ---i apologise--that is how i was brought up !!
hi roy...if i make a mistake with a score that is an entirely different matter and is not a problem...after a stewards inquiry...the result stands...so please stop going on about it...forgive and forget and go find us some winners
pedro
